Today on Instagram I came across a young girl who was preparing for her rhinoplasty surgery.  On her post she hash tagged it #rhinoplasty.  To my surprise when I clicked it there were photos of people who posted their before and after photos.

After I reached out to a few of them, I decided to see what Tumblr tag search had to offer with the same query.  There were tons of posts of before and afters, progress, fund raising and even some dream photos created with an app.
I have already gone to a doctor to get a consultation about my nose, chin and neck and he used a program on his computer to show me what I would look like if I had surgery. Â I remember that moment so distinctly because I immediately started crying when I saw the photo because in all my dreaming I never thought I could look as beautiful as the simulation that he shared with me.
I asked to have a copy of it but he said for legal reasons he couldn’t give it out.  So now, I just had the memory and my old nose so I decided to give the free app a shot to see.  I generated this photo and a bunch of others where I look like Michael Jackson…

The photo I choose to alter does not show off my flaws the best because I’m not to the point where I am comfortable posting horrible photos of me.   Anyway, my friends and family know that I collect the tops of cans to proactively save for my surgeries and they have been saving them for me for years.  I have a trunk full of aluminium pop tops (which I will post soon).
So excited by all of this that I finally took the time to set up a makeover donation page to help assist in my life long goals of having my surgeries, giving back and being on reality television.
In order to keep this post short, I’ll leave you with that for now and I’ll be blogging under the category makeover to document this process in full. Â
