Discovering Gay Germany at Badehaus in Second Life

I went to Badehaus’ 4 Year Anniversary Party.  It seems that Anniversaries & Rez days (birthdays aka the day you joined) are a big deal around Second Life.  I can understand why it must be a huge deal because the amount of money it takes to keep a place open.  I don’t quite understand all of it yet but there are set up fees and monthly recurring payments.  It’s all a bit intense, anyway onto gay Germany…

Badehaus was packed.  The place took about 5 minutes to load because there were so many people there.  I think that Badehaus means Bathhouse in German.  The photo of me was taken in the rooftop club area which is on top of the bathhouse sauna/gay cruising area.  It was so cool to hear German accents and slightly different music,  everyone was having so much fun.

The peculiar part is that the first person I decided to talk to while I was dancing ended up being the SIM(which means the avatar that owns the club or land *note that there could be multiple sims connected in a given area).  This place is classified as ADULT but it was all dancing at the club and the only nudity was the giant statues holding up globes.  I’m so excited to learn how to make stuff.

So… I went back just now, to take a photo of the giant statues in the club on top of the roof and now I cannot find the roof top club.  They may have just made the rooftop club like for the special event.  LOL…That’s the thing about Second Life everything is editable/changeable so you never know what to expect!  Badehaus is located in the larger area of the Gay Zone Estates.  If you wanna check out the Gay Zone Estates Blog you may need to be in Google Chrome to translate it into English.
