This was the first time that I did the accent nail on the pinky.  It’s adorable.  It is cheetah print but since it’s in black and white it almost reads Dalmatian which is giving me ideas for future manicures!

My April 2013 Ipsy Glam Bag finally arrived! Â I got it a bit late because I tried to use a giftcard, Amex, but it didn’t process right. Â Fixed it.
So this is the first one I have posted on the blog but the 4th one I’ve gotten. Â I’m behind. ahah… I posted them on Instagram though. Â I may upload the bags at a later time and backdate them.

Well over a $30 value.  I’m so pleased.  I used a few of the products today and fell in love.  I’ll be posting each products’ review separately after I use them enough to give a proper review.  I’ll also update the product list with hyperlinks to each review incase you’d like to bookmark this post.
Most people got a patent leather white bag with a hot pink zipper seam to match this month’s theme: Pretty In Pink.  The bag I received seemed more manly so I didn’t mind.  Ipsy sent a cute note(pictured above) to inform me that I will be receiving that bag in my my next month’s subscription.  The bag I did receive smells like rancid plastic aka chemical filled so I’ll be recycling it if I can.  It’s kind a shame because I thought it was cute for spring. All good though, Ipsy is still a new business, they are awesome so far!

Polish pictured is actually a lot brighter depending on the light, neon fluorescent almost.
Tip: Â Use thick base coat as this colored polish stains through to the nail.
My Facebook feed makes me want to puke right now. It is all about the Boston bombings at the Marathon. Trust me I understand the need to send prayers and well wishes, scientifically they do help. My issue is at what point does all the hoopla around this horrible tragedy stop being about the victims and start being about the need to be relevant or to make it an entertainment story.
The second issue I have is people saying: What is wrong with the world today? & What is happening to our country?. These people are living under a rock. People are hurting and unloved everyday in this country. It’s only after they lash out that people wanna think about it for a split second before turning on their favorite TV show or filling their voids with consumerism. (aka going back into denial)
I know that I know people in real life that are capable of snapping. Being a person that is afflicted with depression, I fully understand the dark places the mind can go. If unchecked and unbalanced serious harm can come to yourself and sometimes those around you.
While writing this a friend of mine posted this on the first photo above on Facebook:

These two quotes helped reframe what I was looking at in the photo.  As an American it is not often I am looking at real life bloodshed  So instantly I was reacting to that, instead I should have been focusing on the love of those in the photo that were helping.
I also appreciate the Internet for allowing us to see such graphic photos of the reality of the situation instead of the censored manufactured edited versions that most often get show on mainstream television here in the United States of America.
If you post a status saying you are going to pray for those in Boston, please actually take the time to pray. Â Prayer being focused thought.

This past weekend I went antique/collectables/art fairground thing in Illinois. Â Basically it is a place that normally holds animals and was converted into mini booth showrooms for people to sell things.
It was hella rustic and I wore my good shoes. (as I should have as I am single and ready to mingle)
Amidst the dust blowing into my eyes I managed to find some great pieces. Â I picked up a bunch of things and I picked two of my favorites to share with you all.
Above are some victorian style frames with crowns that I got for the room I’m redecorating.
I’ll post more about the room at another time.
Below is a baking dish with a gorgeous vintage floral design which I plan on teaching myself how to make a tart/pie! Â I also got the cutest Q-tip holder that I need to polish and post later.
The best part of it all was spending some quality time with my Mom. ♥

I’m obsessed with this manicure. Â I keep looking down at my hands to admire my beautifully polished two toned nails with a natural gap.
Instructions
- Apply Base Coat
- Apply each color in block sections leaving the middle clean
- Let dry 10 min or so
- Apply and Trim nail tape over color edges
- Apply top coat
Nail tape is fun and easy. Â Already planning future designs!
